Some comments on Photo equipment and travelingWell as you guessed by now i'm in love with traveling and also addicted to Photography. That's why i'd like to give some comments (you're asked for it on equipment. Camera-wise i'm just using Canon products here. Why ? I'm just used to it since my childhood. (I'm sure Nikon would do the same great job). Normally i travel with a Canon EOS 5d Mark III Body, a 16-35mm (my favorite) EF lens, a 100-400mm (get near to Lions !) EF lens, a 8-15mm (if you need to cover the whole thing) Fisheye EF lens and a EF Extender (2x) for the 100-400mm (if the Butterflies just not get near you). What i learned from my experience with Lenses is - never ever go for cheap Lenses and no i don't like the all-in-one from 8-400mm (just doesn't work for me) Always protect your Lenses with a UV filter (the Hoya Professional stuff is expensive but it's a lot cheaper than having a damaged Lens somewhere in Antarctica). Rules: Each time the 250 points goal is achieved, I'll gift 200 to a random donor. Each point you donate will count as a separate entry, so if you donate 30 points, you get more chances to win than if you donate only 1. That is, unless you specify you don't want points via a note or you donate anonymously.
"My choice of colors does not rest on any scientific theory; it is based on observation, on feeling, on the experience of my sensibility. Inspired by certain pages of Delacroix, an artist like Signac is preoccupied with complementary colors, and the theoretical knowledge of them will lead him to use a certain tone in a certain place. But I simply try to put down colors which render my sensation."- Henri Matisse in Notes of a Painter, published in La Grande Revue, 1908
"Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don't bother concealing your thievery - celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: "It's not where you take things from - it's where you take them to.""- Jim Jarmusch
"A fav on deviantart means, "I like this a lot!" and a watch means, "I like you so much that I want to see what you do next!""- Brenna Stones (Cattype, also Cattype)
